Naval Hospital Pensacola (NHP) holds a distinguished legacy, dating back to its inception in January 1826. The institution's legacy is rooted in its dedication to caring for the ill and injured, a tradition exemplified by seventy-four Commanding Officers and numerous staff members who have provided care during pivotal moments in American history, from the Civil War to modern conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
